This is Ryan he is the base guitar and back up vocals. He gave a shout out to  us" the couch girls" for sticking around to see them.

Last but not least is the drummer Scott

I would def recommend everyone seeing them in concert!!!

Recap of weekend

Friday had a sleep over and watched this movie and

then we rocked out to this women's songs on a HBO special.

On Saturday I went and finally saw this movie:

 and rocked this hair cut. I randomly went to Great Clips and got my hair cut.

The best part about the weekend was when I saw my grandma and got in her face to say hi with my new hair( it wasn't spiked when I saw her. I didn't want to scare her) she says " hi, there is something different about you."  Love it that she recognized a new change. :)

What you do on your Memorial weekend?

TELL SOMEONE: That's just what I did.

I found this picture this weekend as I was looking at Mutual Ground website on facebook. This is definitely a HARD concept for people that have been ABUSED to DO! Especially when the incident just happened. Having people re-live their abuse on the stands or to someone else can be emotionally damaging if you are not ready.

Well, today I was talking to some coworkers and I told them about my experience and after sharing how it affected me, and how I had changed from it my coworkers wanted to give me a hug for what happened. You know what, once you get to the survivor stage when I was getting those hugs, I thought it was strange and I didn't need them anymore. I don't need someone to feel bad for what happened. It happened and by TELLING SOMEONE your story, you are showing them you are strong! When someone shares their story you should be telling them "thank you, that is brave of you."

I know that everyone will get where I am today. I am at the stage of, yes I was abused, but that doesn't define me. It makes me stronger and NO ONE CAN ever tell me otherwise. No matter what someone says about the situation I am bigger than it. I can OPENLY SHARE IT AND NOT FEEL ASHAMED!!!!!! It is the greatest feeling to know that.

So congrats to all the brave women/men out there that have TOLD SOMEONE!!!

Happy Birthday Megan Lea

It is this lovely lady birthday today! This lovely lady is the one and only Megan. She is my sister and my role model. She is someone I inspire to be like. I inspire to have her classy style and sense of worth. She is the most beautiful person I know, inside and out!

Yesterday was filled with adventure. It started out with my friend Julie as we tried a new Indian restaurant and had this deliciousness

We know it was a good place because we were the only white girls in the place. Everyone else was Indian.

Then from Indian food to celebrating with this lovely lady( Jenna)

at Limestone Brewery we had some of these babies

It was def. more than a beer. It had sierra mist in it along with vodka. It tasted delicious. As the night went on at the bar this guy showed up

This is Jake. When jake came these guys were playing

They played Britney Spears baby! I got up from my seat to take video. ( Video is not the best quality but you can hear her bust out Womanizer)

Then, Jake said he knew some friends that were having a party and I sobered up so I could follow jake into Joliet. I got to meet some of these guys.

This is Bryan. He was one of the few people at the party that was around my age( he's 28) Then there was this awesome guy

This guys name is Nestor. He kept on wanting me to take pictures so he could find my blog and find me on facebook. These pictures were taken at the second party we went too.

Lets just say I was out of my comfort zone and was so happy I had Onstar because they helped me find my way home when it was time to leave.

Def. will not be doing that again for a very long time. Hanging out with the crowd that I did and seeing people "stupidly" drinking makes me happy to say I am out of that stage. :)

Cheers to being the only sober one at the party :)

Double Date Night

Monday night I went on a double date with my best friend Jackie and her boyfriend Brian and Brian's friend Jake. That night we went to Yum Yum Thai and then went bowling.

Then there was team Brian and Jackie.

Before bowling we played some arcade games and won bracelets. They were pretty fabulous they had sparkles in the inside. I love anything with sparkles.
