Caitlin's Celebration

Yesterday I celebrated with this pretty lady, Caitlin, her 25th birthday!  We started our bar hopping at

with some of these great girls
I haven't seen those two girls since college.

Then we went to

Before I left whenever we get together we have to get a picture of the three of us because we are the
NYC girls. When we were in college for spring break( Cait's sophomore year, my junior year) the three of us went to NYC in the cold while the rest of our friends enjoyed their spring break in warm weather. We had the best time. Thanks to that experience in college I have formed a great relationship with the one and only classy Caitlin.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING!

China Party

Friday night was a party at our house and everything was center around China. My parents busted out all their authentic China things they had.

My parents traveled to China so they had lots of things that they had brought back from their trip.

The dinning room was set like this.

The plate wear was all from China. Everyone got a set of chopsticks. My parents were very  persistent about people eating their Chinese food with chopsticks.

these fans were even from China.

When you walked in the door you were greeted by this. It is made out of rice paper. My dad brought this back from Hong Kong back when he studied over there.

The rest of the night after eating was watching a video of my parents travels around China and catching up with old friends.

St. Charles

Yesterday was an adventure with Jenna and we went to St. Charles to check it out. We both have never been there.

As we were walking around the downtown area we realized it is way different than downtown Naperville because, in downtown Naperville there would be people walking around all over and in St. Charles we hardly saw anyone walking around. It was like a ghost town.

As we were walking around we ran into this place

kitchen*

When you walk in we saw these two statue

they were completely made out of chocolate.  We bought a delicious cookie. I ate it before I could take a picture.

After our adventure we went to Chopsticks and Jenna had

which was delicious while mine
was okay.

Overall the day was great.

Where would do you like to explore?

Limitless Review

Yesterday I watched this movie. Boy did it keep me on my feet wanting to know where it was going. I only had to cover my eyes for about 10 minutes for one scene where people were trying to kill each other. I don't do well with blood or scenes of violence. Besides that one scene I was intrigued and enjoying my time staring at Bradley Cooper.

I would give the movie 3.5 stars. Why you might ask? It keep me guessing, I liked the acting in the movie and I haven't seen a movie like this out for a while.

library day

Today I went to the library with my mom to get the 4th book of the Percy Jackson series

and they didn't have it. So, I am either going to read the fifth book, which Jackie gave me, or read

I started Promises to Keep at Christmas and need to pick it up again.

Instead of leaving empty handed, I left with

It's one of my favorite shows. I hope one day to have watched all the episodes in the 11 years series. If you don't know this about me already, most every Sunday if I am not doing anything, I watch the marathons of SVU on USA and I watch the show every Wednesday( the latest season).  Jackie and I started the tradition of watching the seasons on DVD.

Ra Sushi Sucks

On Sunday this lady

picked RA Sushi because it was a middle ground for this guy, Charlie. He was coming from Glenview and I haven't seen him since February.

I had been to Ra Sushi before and had a terrible experience. We had terrible service( we hardly got our water refilled and our sushi's came out at different times- way later) and the sushi sucked. I love sushi so much that I was gonna give it another try because it has been a year since the last time I went.

On Sunday I kept it simple and got
avocado rolls. Then Jenna and I split " Crazy Monkey."
It looks so pretty, BUT OH MY GOSH, IT TASTED DISGUSTING. I DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SAY THAT ABOUT SUSHI!!! It was like eating really gross cream cheese. See the white part? That was the little bit of cream cheese and then there was salmon and something else but you couldn't taste anything else besides the CREAM CHEESE!!!

DO NOT GO TO RA SUSHI!!!

Have you ever had a bad experience at a restaurant?

Mutual Ground Fund Raiser

The event for Mutual Ground was held at Real Time Bar in St. Charles. It cost 10 dollars to get in but you got to see two bands. The first band was called Junk Change.

The first song they sang was this:

Jackie, who came with me to this event, said " isn't this a Britney Spears song?" I of course go "yes she has sang this song before in her movie Crossroads."

Then as the night went on, they were having raffles so I bought myself

10 tickets and surprisingly I won

I have never been to this place but I can't wait to try a new restaurant. The menu looks great.

I was happy to support this organization. This organization has a special place in my heart.

What organizations do you like to support?

BUSY BEAUTIFUL DAY

TODAY was great. I spent my day hanging out with my best friend Jackie. We went bridesmaid's shopping and then we went to the Morton Arboretum to walk around and get some exercise, and we randomly walked into this

Jackie and I really wanted to see what it was made out of. I thought it could have been made out of legos, but I was wrong.

It was just made out of wood. LAME!!! Lego's would have kicked ass!

Then we walked into this interesting plant. It was pretty but totally odd to us.

That night I got a chance to go to a

game. I got a beer in this fab cup. When I first came I had to get a stamp on my hand and show my ID to drink alcohol.  I gave the " alcohol guy " my ID upside down on accident and he goes, " is she drunk already?" My uncle goes " no she's just happy like this all the time. I don't know why she drinks."  I started laughing when the ID man told me that.

During the game it was superhero night and people dressed up as their favorite hero. Before we left my uncle and I got a pic with this guy.

Then as we were walking back to our car we got to see

How was your Friday?

Mexican Salad

Thursday night I made dinner for my parents and I made a mexican salad. It was delicious. If you know me I DO NOT EAT salads but I would definitely make this again.

If you would like to know the recipe please go to my sisters blog Pink To Green for this great dinner.

After dinner Jenna and I made a healthy smoothie. We used strawberries, blueberries, banana's and ice.

What a perfect healthy evening :)

Music Video Time

My new Britney Spears obsessed song! How can you go wrong with a girl that has fabulous red highlights and kicks people's butts in her video.

This song really does just make you SMILE! I am not digging her green highlights tho.. Go back to pink Avril!

This my FAVORITE SONG from my favorite band!!! I met all of the band members and in college I got to hug the lead guitarist.

I was so happy. I would love to see them in concert again.
