WAS A SLOW movie but the concept of the movie was powerful. The acting was dead on. Through out the movie I was thinking in my head to the girl in the floral print witch witch witch.

14 simple changes for a healthier life

I learned something new today from this article. I never would have thought to dry brush my teeth before I brush them. I will have to ask my cousin and uncle to see their opinion on that.

City with my cousin

On November 5th( yes I am way behind on posting this) I went into Chicago to hang out with my cousin, Eryn. This was my first time driving to her place BY MYSELF! Normally my parents drive into the city. I def want to go back and visit her again. Next trip I think will be for my birthday. My cousin is so much fun. We went to this restaurant that was known for making their own susages and brewing their own beer. 

Everything we had was delicious.

Main dish:

those purplish things on top were hot peppers but the white sauce was sweet so, it was a great combination of a kick in your mouth with sweetness. 

After that we went to a kareokee bar. I didn't end up singing but my cousin busted out a tune or two.

Butternut Squash

Last week I  cooked  and I made this butternut squash with bacon, blue cheese with green onion. I hadn't eaten butternut squash in a while so I honetly had no idea if I would like it or not, and suprisly I did. I would make this dish over again.

I love my new Iphone. I love the siri technology. I have been using it all the time.  The camera is the best. It actually has a zoom botton. It will be replacing my old 5magapixal camera. The iphone dominates all!

Pop Up Video's on VH1

On the pop up video it said it took them 4 hrs to make the boys up like dolls. After the video they made Nsync dolls and a decade later Justin is the doll who is still worth the most out of the band.

They had two days to film this video but because it rained they had to make it into one day. The dancers legs cramped up because of the cold. They had a kid in the video wear a jersey with 23 on it  to honor MJ.

She was featured but I can't remember the name of the video so this one will do because it's my favorite song of hers.

as I was trying to find my best friend Jackie, who was running the race. Jackie kicked ass and ran the marathon in 5 hrs and 10 mins( while being injured)!!!  My friend Julie ran it in exactly 5 hrs!! My uncle Ron who is 75 ran it in 6hrs 50 mins.

Congrats to all my friends and family who accomplished the marathon!!

Walk for Hope continue

October first was a gorgeous day to participating in the 4th annual Walk for Hope.

My team

Major Shorty walked at a local forest perserve in Geneva for the organization Mutual Ground. It was my first time participating in this walk. It was very special to me to be able to partcipate in this walk with this team especally,

these two girls.  These girls have gotten me through some very tough times, especially the reason why I was participating in the walk. The walk was for victiams and survivors of domestic and sexual assualt.

I was happily one of the people that was walking as a Suvivor of a sexual assault!

I watched this movie and I don't hate it, I don't like it. I don't know what to think. The best part about this movie was the sound tracks from the 80's. It was all the songs I grew up listening too. It was fabulous singing along.

Labor Day weekend

Over the Labor Day weekend I headed to

to see family. My

Aunt Judy was having a pool party last Saturday and we were celebrating this guy

Uncle Herb being back in town. He and my Aunt Chris live in Utah and haven't been back to St. Louis in 10 years. My Uncle herb is my mom's brother.

Throughout the day I was trying to take pictures with all of my mom's siblings. I ended up missing two out of the 8 that were there. So I got these shots instead

Then there is another set of brothers: Ryan with the sunglasses and Pauly. 

I officially have 18 first cousins. They weren't all present at the pool party. I have 12 Second cousins. So when this family gets together it's crazy fun.

This lovely couple Aunt Linda and Jim who will be getting married at the end of September. Can't wait to go back to celebrate. 

Of course with any of our family gatherings, this family knows how to eat and have a good time

My uncle Herb made the tenderloin on the stick( he is a professional chef) and the rest of the family brought different dishes. That spaghetti pasta is something our grandma use to make us. It's a family recipe. Its my cousin, Joey, Ryan's and my favorite dish.

Wedding Xpo

Sunday these ladies

and I went to a wedding Expo in Rosemont. It was suppose to have 120 venders(we didn't think they had that many) from Dj's, dresses, photographers, cakes and more. It was held in the Hilton and filled  two huge rooms. We were mostly looking for Dj's and center pieces idea. We ran across these pretty designs

My favorite center pieces were the first two with the white flowers and the candles on top. I thought those were pretty and you could buy the candles yourself and do things yourself. I like do it yourself ideas to make the day unique.

Then we ran into a guy that was talking about seating arrangements and how your guest would know where to sit. Instead of the traditional cards he showed us this bad boy

It was a fancy poster with a nice frame around it. I liked that idea because you could get your own frame from hobby lobby.

That only lasted an hr because we didn't need to stop at every station that they had because Jackie had a lot of things covered already. So after that we went to

 My food was just okay. I didn't take a picture because I wasn't blown away by it.

My morning on Sunday was wonderful because I got to spend it with my best friend and eat some of my favorite food!

Tasty Pasta

Thursday of last week I made my parents dinner and came up with this delicious dish

It is so simple to make. It pretty much took me 15 mins to make. I hardly had to do anything besides chop up the zucchini that is in the dish.

So this dish has:
 one box of  pasta
 two zucchini
crushed tomatoes- with basil( a can product)
tomato paste- tablespoon
northern beens( one can)
feta cheese( however much you like)

* I will give you more specifics on directions but right now that's the gist. :) I don't have the recipe in front of me at the moment.

Our Idiot Brother

So I thought this movie was gonna be funny from the trailer that they show on TV but I felt like this  clip portrayed the movie better. It was about how Literally Ned( Paul Rudd) was a man child and said "stupid" things all the time. He was like a child that didn't have a filter and didn't know when he should keep things to himself.

I don't know how I would rate this movie in stars. Right now I would give it  2. stars  I liked the sisters acting and his because he did a great job conveying his character. I just don't know what to think of the plot of the movie. I am thrown off by the plot. I feel it's one of those movies you have to see again. I will wait until the Red-box to check it out again.

I would tell people not to waste their ten bucks on this movie unless you are Brian, Jackie's fiance because he likes movies others don't.  :)

It is about two best friends that go on road trips to different states and find old crap such as old doors, chains, houses and make furniture out of it. They are interior designers opening a store in L.A.

Is another show this summer that I have fallen in love with. This show is not like any other show out there. It's about Dani( the lead lady) is a therapist for a NY minor league football team, which she helps TK( purple shirt guy), and she also helps other sports players on other teams such as professional race car drivers, poker players and more. 

It is on Wednesday on the USA network.

noodles,edamame, chicken, corn, celery and pineapples with Pad Thai sauce.

Then for desert I got to try this place and had delicious yogurt.

It was Oreo's and chocolate with M&M's, chocolate chips and Butterfingers pieces. It is much cheeper than Red Mango and so much more delicious because you control everything.
